I WANNA GET MY HANDS ON THIS!!!!!!!!

February 1st, 2008 by kazandra

So Kanebo has decided to do away with Testimo and the new lineup is called Coffret D’or starting Dec 2007. I’m not a big fan of line Kate, but Testimo stuff I like!

Anyway, there’s this certain lipcolour by Coffret D’or that has caught my eye.

Only thing is that Coffret D’or will not be coming to our sandy shores until..earliest Feb or April. And the colour I want is apparently said to be rather exclusive. And certain online stores have ran out of it already!!!!!!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Chris, if you read this, and you happen to be flying to Japan sometime soon, pretty pretty please please please buy it for me first. (It’s so going to burn a hole in my pocket, but I believe it’s gonna be worth the burn.)

So you’re gone and I’m haunted

And I bet you are just fine

Did I make it that easy to walk

Right in and out of my life?

I am looking for this…

Cravings….

September 16th, 2007 by kazandra

I’m usually pretty easygoing when it comes to food. As long as it doesn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth, I am (usually) capable of eating whatever is presented in front of me, as long as they’re not gross. (By the way, ox tongue was great. barbequed intestines were fine. No insects please.)

Having no special preference probably results in me getting stumped whenever people ask me what to eat during any outings or dates.

But I do have cravings from time to time. And recently, my cravings have changed from the sweet to the savoury. My favourite late night craving would be…

Scrambled eggs. Yes, weird, cause it’s something that we usually have for breakfast. But recently I’ve been having the most insatiable urge to consume scrambled eggs. It would be 2 in the morning and I’d suddenly feel like eating scrambled eggs. I would resist cooking in the early morning and instead sleep and wait for the next day to arrive. Of course I get busy with cooking the next day.

Watching the finished product glistening in all its soft and creamy eggy yellow goodness on the plate makes Cassandra very happy. Couple that with toast and pan fried bacon and Cassandra will grin from ear to ear. I think I should add scrambled eggs into my list of comfort foods.

I wonder how long this craving will last. Hmm.

NDP 2007

August 10th, 2007 by kazandra

And finally it has ended….

I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to make it that day for NDP… I had lost my voice on Wednesday and still had that husky "sexylicious" voice when I woke up on Thursday…even abit feverish as well. I could feel all the symptoms of a cold creeping in; giddiness, running nose..headaches..

Nonono…I told myself that I wasn’t going to just watch others perform…I will get there and perform with everyone… I will not fall sick until the end of it.

You know, the typical mind-over-body thing… and also, I was wishing that the adrenaline rush would kick in, give me a good high, and enable me to perform until the very end.

Well, it worked. Helped that I chanted as well ;)

Some of the photos we took. More to upload if I could :)

SINGA CITY H2!

Along the way I lost things dear to me, I fell hard with the obstacles on the way, even up till the last moment I was sick and was thinking of whether to perform or not (my legs felt like jelly the entire day) but still, no regrets.

It was really fun, (although I have the habit of complaining and being sarcarstic, very sorry for that) and I made great friends. And we are the pioneer batches to perform on the world’s largest floating platform! What else is there to complain about?

Now my saturdays are empty. Someone save me. lol!

It’s gonna be raining fireworks this August 9th!

August 5th, 2007 by kazandra

Yes yes yes yes yes yes…get ready to be spellbounded by the fireworks @ Marina Bay this year!

But apart from visual effects (which are eff-ing stunning, i can assure you that), what I really wish is that people will take more notice of the performers. Yes, us.

We have taken so many months of preparation, way ahead of time as compared to previous NDPs so that we can present to you the most spectacular parade on the floating platform (which doesn’t feel float-ish, by the way.) And as much as everyone is talking about effects, I wish more would pay attention to the performances.

I’m guilty of only looking forward to the effects and fireworks myself whenever I watch NDPs the previous years. But after this year’s NDP, I think I would pay more attention to the performers as well.

Most of us volunteered to perform, and in turn, have in one way or another, sacrificed a little bit of something along the way. We had to drag ourselves to trainings no matter how far the locations were..we try to head there no matter how dampened our spirits may had been for that particular day of training..

Of course, we all turn out happy in the end. We finally learnt how to get to those ulu places if we are to ever have trainings at such places again.. we make new friends as we perspire and train together..we share our stories with each other..

And no matter how sad or discouraged you may be that day, you soon realize you actually really shouldn’t be crying, as everyone around will encourage you, and you have no time and no room for tears while running around like a madman trying to find your positions and perfecting your dance steps all at the same time.

We went through alot to get to where we are today. We are ordinary people leading normal lives. But just for this day, we become performers. Just for you.

If stripped bare of the frills, the water and laser and fire effects, the lightings, the fireworks, will you still watch the performance? Will you still watch OUR performance?

So while you anticipate the fireworks, please, try to watch us as that day is our day too.

Happy National Day.
