Cravings….
Sunday, September 16th, 2007I’m usually pretty easygoing when it comes to food. As long as it doesn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth, I am (usually) capable of eating whatever is presented in front of me, as long as they’re not gross. (By the way, ox tongue was great. barbequed intestines were fine. No insects please.)
Having no special preference probably results in me getting stumped whenever people ask me what to eat during any outings or dates.
But I do have cravings from time to time. And recently, my cravings have changed from the sweet to the savoury. My favourite late night craving would be…
Scrambled eggs. Yes, weird, cause it’s something that we usually have for breakfast. But recently I’ve been having the most insatiable urge to consume scrambled eggs. It would be 2 in the morning and I’d suddenly feel like eating scrambled eggs. I would resist cooking in the early morning and instead sleep and wait for the next day to arrive. Of course I get busy with cooking the next day.
Watching the finished product glistening in all its soft and creamy eggy yellow goodness on the plate makes Cassandra very happy. Couple that with toast and pan fried bacon and Cassandra will grin from ear to ear. I think I should add scrambled eggs into my list of comfort foods.
I wonder how long this craving will last. Hmm.
